Okay, what would you do here?  Pocket sevens aren’t great under the gun (right after the blinds) because you have to make your decision first and somebody can raise you or go all in after you.

I called and hope you would to with the understanding that depending on the raise, you may want to fold.

Ugh. My mindset was that I didn’t want to risk running up my stack or going out of the tourney early at this point – especially not with pocket sevens.  I placed him on pocket jacks only because I have seen a lot of people make a bet like that with pocket jacks.  That may be only random reinforcement in my head (it probably is) but I did think he had something and it would beat my sevens.
