At this point, I was burnt out having gone through the cycle of playing well, getting lucky, playing stupidly, playing well, getting cocky, getting my comeuppance, still playing cocky and then ending the session being tired.

The moral of the story?  Try to recognize in yourself your moods, playing style, and table climate and at the very least be aware of them, even if you realize you can’t control some of the variables.  When you are tired (or too cocky) you should leave the table!!!

I hope you liked this brief session excerpt. The book will be featuring more sessions and include $40 NL Tournaments, tips and suggestions and be out soon.
